OK, here's what I don't get...

Say they hacked in (though it was really an active account that you forgot to cancel), got the list, and started selling it.

1) Why (or were you?) mailing that list also (as Python claims) on another server?

2) How did they know this list was stolen?

if i was just putting in my 44 hour work week and getting only 45k/year CDN then maybe, work weeks were like 60+ hours, being on call 24/7 for two years.

Maybe you would consider employees like that not worth the couple entra bucks to keep happy but i rather give them a couple extra bucks and watch their productivity increase more so.

OK. This is what i have understood so far:

1. notjoe, who is joe, slammed python on another thread.
2. ElvisManson, an employee of python came in and defended the company he works for by calling joe a liar and a thief.
3. joe said he didn't steal the list but that 2 lesbians who have yet to show themselves stole them instead.
4. ElvisManson, told everyone that the lesbians did indeed have the list but DID NOT steal them.
5. joe kept insisting he was overworked and underpaid but was still SO LOYAL that he brought his work home with him.
6. joe kept insisting the lesbians STOLE the list from his server which they LOGGED into.

In conclusion: joe is a lying sack of shit who stole the list. He is stupid enough to have posted the names of the lesbians but are too chicken shit to follow thru. Come on, joe! if they really truly stole from you, why are you so scared? The reason? they did not steal! You stole! the owners of the list all ready said they didnt. they accused YOU and only YOU. jst my more than :2 cents:

As a courtesy I recall offering Cathy undeveloped Sin___ domains from my list of over 50. This whole story is really funny considering the fact that her domain SinLinks was registered in 5/1999 and I didn't attend my first convention until New Orleans in May 2000. I didn't know anybody until my first convention. I have Sin domains going back to February of 2000, just check my Bulkregister records:

I don't know about you but when I have $5000 in domain renewals annually, I'm always willing to sell one here and there. Usually, though, people contact me when they're interested. I usually just ask for an offer on domains to accept or counter. I don't remember if I ever threw a price out. I still have all these registered... The important ones are developed, the other ones aren't. This is my list after deleting several domains over time and trading/selling some too. There are three Sin domains I wish I had: 1) SIN.COM 2) SINSTORIES.COM and 3)SINCHAT.COM ... which is on it's way from a friend of mine who was kind enough to snap it :)

I don't make a living by domain speculation and I'm still finding it hard to believe that she suggested she was either my inspiration or that I was a domain squatter. That's silly! We both have unique and different businesses. Should I be apologizing that I have a superior Sin domain list? <lol>

Ok, here goes. First, no hatred towards lesbians. These were just two bad people. The fact that they were lesbians had nothing to do with anything, I was just being consistent with the rest of the thread. I told on them because I'm friends with the people at Pyhton and I'd hope they would do the same for me.

I can also say that I have dealt with Brad on domains before. I contacted him regarding a domain I wanted to get that was inline with his set of domains. He was more than willing to let me have the domain if I did not find something else. I was able to find another domain that fit what I was looking for and gave up the domain to Brad. To me that is integrity, he could have just been an asshole and threatened to sue me if I registered the domain or some crazy shit, however, he took time out of his day to help me find a better domain that I liked even more. I don't think Brad is the type to just steal domains, his products definitley have their own brand, and it just happens to be Sin.

It is an interesting topic however. How do the larger companies prevent these types of situations from occuring? It's not the first time I've heard of this kind of theft happening, just the first time I heard of a company actually taking action against one it's former employees in court. Usually it's just easier to break their legs or something. Costs a lot less money.

I think it's a real dilemma. You have to trust your employees to handle business ethically, but how can you trust someone you just hired. I've had lists stolen from me in the past by an employee that got all crazy because I fired him for being unproductive. I've had employees sending out resumes while they are getting paid to work for me. I've had employees trying to start their own side businesses while on the job. This is why I like to do all the important shit myself!
