I'm going to buy a HD big screen TV next week, need suggestions!! I'm torn between the Mitsubishi Black Diamond, the Pioneer Kuro, and the Sony Bravia XBR4. All have great 1080p pictures. Any body got any experiences with HD TVs to share?

I'm a huge fan of Mitsubishi TVs, especially their DLP sets. Only issue is generally the sound from the TV speakers sucks. On sets that size, most people use a home theater, so it's not a real problem. I also like Samsung LCD screens.

I've been looking long and hard for a new HD TV as well and found that the Panasonic TH50PZ85U is an awesome display and fits my needs perfectly. However, if money is no object the Pioneer Kuro line is hands down the best

Yes, don't buy insurance it's a scam!!!!!! The company you buy from sony, or whatever has a warranty, You don't need one from the store also! They will try to get you though! It's like insurance on a Rental car! Just dumb!

I have no idea if you are right about the insurance on a TV... but you are dead wrong about getting insurance on a rental. ALWAYS get insurance on a rental!

Go for Sony Bravia XBR4 It's LCD and all know that LCD > Plasma (plasmas get burnouts and quality goes to shit over time. thats why Sony makes only LCDs now)
