xxxweek you havnt said why you are thinking about going to panama. It is actually really dirty down there, and if you make good loot and show off you going to get targeted. I actually have a friend who lives down there he had to bulletproof his hummer.

because in panama for $2k a month ill be living pretty nice..

try living on $2k in north jersey.. do you have any better ideas of places to go to?

i heard in panama the weather is great, i can get a cheap maid, sluts cheap, etc..

I don't know if I'd move some place like that to have a little more. I can't imagine just up and leaving everything and everyone to another country permanently.

A word of advise about maids, they are the most likely people in panama to rob you. You could even get by easily with $1k a month in panama. The weather is not great at all. Way too humid and it rains like hell way too often.

I have friends who moved down about 18 months ago and love it. They started with a condo on the beach about an hour north of PC (Cornado maybe?) and they'll keep that and are renting a house in PC so their son can start school while they build a house in PC. They haven't had any issues with crime and there are quite a lot of ex-pat adult webmasters down there.

are you in Indiana? i spent a night in a city, i think it was actually called indianapolis city. AWESOME CITY... your saying its very cheap to live there or in the rural bumble fuk areas???

If your maid in Panama robs you, she'll be in jail so fast that she may lose a shoe while the police drag her out of your/her house.

The weather is just like anywhere in Central or South America, including Costa Rica. 6 months of sunshine, 6 months of intermittent sunshine and heavy rain. It's also a lot like Central Florida, where I grew up and most of the Caribbean.

Live here before you hypothesize.

ive lived here my entire live, went to american schools, went to panamenian schools, have filthy rich friends and dead poor friends... and honestly the only ones that "booletproof" their cars are politicians and drug lords ...

about the weather, Z said all u had to know about that

xxxweek.... take a week o r2 off and come down and see it for urself, costarica is also nice, my mothers side of the family is from there and i can recommend both equally

Z, I know other expats that live in panama and I heard that stuff about maids from them, they keep on hearing stories about maids stealing... Just because it hasn't happened to you or anyone you know doesn't mean that it isn't relatively common. Anyway, how would the police catch the maid if she just took off with your things and you didn't know where to find her and she had lied her name?
