Sad News Regarding Mark aka TexasDreams - GoFuckYourself.com

I really don't look forward to doing these kinds of things, and I am very upset as I write this, but I figured that the community should know.

TexasDreams was found this morning in his apartment. He had they believe he had passed away a little over a month ago. He had left Homegrown a few months ago, due to high amounts of stress and his failing state of health. We wished him well and as far as we had known he was puttering along doing his own thing. However, for the last two months nobody had heard from him, and when the apartment managers called one of our staff who lived in his complex and knew him, he was worried and immediately informed them of Mark's heart problems in the past. They went in and that is when he was found.

Mark aka TexasDreams was a wonderful man, who will be very much missed by everyone at Homegrown, and I believe in the webmaster community at large. His contributions to GFY over the years really put him into all of our hearts and minds, and I know he took great pride in all that he had done there.

Mark had no family and nobody to send condolences to, unfortunately, so I hope that we, the community he helped foster, babysit, stir up, and laugh, can pay him a tribute for all his hard work, and everything he brought to us in his own special way.

I really don't know what else to say... we're all sort of still in a state of shock over here as well, but I felt obligated to share the news with the community and give everyone the opportunity to say goodbye.

He was a really good friend.... super funny, and genuinely nice, kinda like Shemp. So very very rare to find people like him these days.

I'm very upset by this. If anyone knows what condition he had, please let me know. As he has no family, I want to make a donation to a charity in the field he had a problem with. That's about the only thing I can think of doing right now.

He suffered a massive heart attack and had open heart surgery a few years ago and often plagued with illness due to his lowered immune response.

OMG! We had a falling out for a while but the past year or so we had worked things out. He was back to posting and photoshoping crazy like usual. I am so glad I got to meet him at one of the shows and spend the time with him I did. He had such an amazing sense of humor and a good heart.

RIP TD you will be missed.

I am floored.

I remember his posts from way back, he used to post a lot on PC. I liked him them, he always had a great style about him. Very friendly, a great sense of humor and liked to horse around as much as anyone, but underneath it all was an obvious intelligence.

I've missed the guy since he left here, had some ICQ time with him in the last few months, and am now quite blown away by this news.

RIP TD (Mark).
