Like cool Electronic Gadgets?
I just picked up this little gadget (around $40)
Manufacturer by P3 International, Product No.: P4460 Program it with the cost of a watthour of power in your area (ours is $0.14) and it tells you how much items in your home cost to run. Kill-A-Watt EZ ![]() Overview * Shows the actual costs of appliances * Accurate within 0.2% * Large LCD Display * Calculates and forecasts by week, month and year * Displays eight critical units of measure Essential Info The Kill A Watt EZ displays all of the same measurements of the original Kill A Watt, but adds in your running cost and projected cost. Now you will know how much that pesky energy hog appliance is costing you to run each day! See the cost of your electrical expenses by the day, week, month or year. You can also check the quality of power from your power company by monitoring line frequency (Hz), voltage (Volts) and Power Factor (VA). The Kill A Watt EZ is a power meter that allows the user to accurately measure power consumption of household appliances and determine the actual cost of the power consumed. The unit will also project, in real time, the cost of continued use of the appliance by hour, day, week, month, or year. Total consumed power is displayed in Kilowatt-hours (KWH). It is easy to use with a large display and simple 5-button interface. The unit is safe and features ETL listing and over-current protection. Power Factor Displays * Volts * Amps * Watts * Hz * VA * KWH Retained Measurements When power to the Kill A Watt EZ is interrupted, the display will go blank and the unit will stop measuring consumption and elapsed time. However all accumulated measurements including KWH, Elapsed Time, and actual total cost will be retained. This allows the user to take measurements anywhere and relocate the unit to a more convenient location to read the display. When the unit is plugged back in, the display will become active and the accumulated data can be retrieved by using the keypad. Imagine being able to forecast your electric bill before you get it. With the Kill a Watt, you can calculate electrical expenses by the hour, day, week, month, even year. With an accuracy within 0.2%, you can safely know what to expect your expenses to be. Specifications Manufacturer: P3 International Manufacturer Product No.: P4460 UPC: 751549 044603 Dimensions: 5 1/8"H x 2 1/2"W x 1 1/2"D Product Weight: 5 oz Operating Voltage: 115 VAC Max. I need something like that, with 4 new servers appearing gradually over the past few months in my office now I'm becoming very curious about how much power they're actually consuming.
