What do you think about this .357 Revolver....Is it worth $549?
I have been looking for a .357 double action for a while. I found a Ruger GP100 in excellent condition for $549. Anyone ever owned this gun? All reviews say it's a very smooth firing .357 and durable.
here is the actual gun for sale: ![]() sexy isn't it ![]() |

Just practice with it, I've never owned one but have always heard good things about it. Good price too.

I only have a few neighbors who don't mind when I shoot at home - but I usually shoot my pistols at the range. I don't think I would be shooting this all the time, but it can fire .38 rounds which are great for range shooting, cheap and less powerful.
if you don't like guns or shooing them kindly avoid the gun threads |

Ruger makes a very good pistol, they use good metal and allows you to use hot loads unless it's the new version of the Vakero( not sure on the spelling )
heres a write up on the gun you want http://www.epinions.com/content_4416643204

I had one and loved it. Wife got custody of it in the divorce though. Haven't gotten around to getting another one yet, but it's on my list.

if it's used dont buy it
.357 ammo can get expensive if you use a lot of it for that money there are plenty other good options |

That's a great piece. I have had my GP100 for over 20 years.
Also, don't listen to Judge, you can shoot .38 specials in that if you desire. |

Also for those of you that are unfamiliar, quality firearms, like this Ruger, increase in value as long as you take care of them.
This one is stainless so you don't have to much to worry about, but a blued finish takes a little care and a moisture free environment. Other than that they last forever and increase in value all along. |

I already know your feelings on guns so I'll keep it short. I have a nice collection that I add to every few months. I love to shoot, be it handguns, rifles, or shotguns. I also have a concealed carry permit not that has anything to do with my love of guns. If you have never shot a real gun, (not a p-shooter like a .22) I highly advise you find a range and try it. I enjoy shooting as much as you may enjoy your computer. It takes a lot of skill to target shoot and the feeling of the raw power isn't bad either that wasn't so short was it |

.38 will fire out of a .357
Of course .357 won't go into a .38 I keep my Ruger "Police service six" right here on my desk. I love it. For the same money you might go HK http://gunbroker.net/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=95389881 ![]() |

If you get the MAC be sure it is a real one by Military Armament .. I hate clones .. Also be sure that you get it in .45 with the the 50rd magazines
A guy can buy two of them and have alot of firepower A mac in each hand can stop a big group of attackers armed or not That would finally give a set in stone meaning to "I make it rain on dem hoze" |

That was a .44 They kick too much for me I could shoot your ass with one, But if I missed the first time and you had a piece too, fuck I'd be fucked because it takes me a second or two to recover and re-aim the thing. With my .357 if I miss the first time I don't have so much time wasted and I am more comfortable with the 2 round burst I guess some fools carry shit like the .454 and .500 and .480 now of a days If I wanted to hit someone that hard it'd be a sawed off |
