There is a simple code on GFY, and it is one that I figured out a long time ago. A code that many people criticized me for when I started here some 8 months ago, and one that eventually got me banned for 2 months. I called it "self marketing" at the time, you can call it what you want. No, im not gonna blow my own horn and say I invented it or anything like that, but I just wanna set some things straight for all you new comers. Call it GFY 101.

GFY is adifferent animal then any other board you ever been to, because its a double edge sword. Business gets done here, and dirty laundry gets aired out here. In most places, those two variables cannot exist in one place, yet GFY makes a perfect harmony of those two very different tunes.

People wanna get their name out there, and what is the easiest way to do that? well, you pick a fight with someone important, you talk some shit, if you can hold your own, people remmeber your name, and if you talk enough shit and pick enough fights, everyone will know you. That is what GFY is. It is the board to go to if you want some attention. Everyone here is guilty of this. 80% of these posts on GFY are useless to what we do. People post their cats, their cars, their weed, their shit...They do it for attention...and that is okay, because deep down inside, all the GFY veterans know what is up.

We all know the secret code, we all perform the means which will bring us the end, and when the day is over, we all pat each other on the back, say 'gg', and call it a night. By 'we', I mean the veterans. The newbies on the other hand get manipulated, tweaked, shaken and stirred. Some eventually figure out just what this place is and trade in their newbie hat for a veteran's, and the GFY world goes round and round. The cycle continues, the sooner you figure out how to make it turn, the better off you will be.

eligibility is based on many factors, but there are many shortcuts available. I can go into further detail about what to do exactly, but then GFY may become a very unstable place

What I can say is that try and be original, and if you can, don't kiss too much ass. I personally hate ass kissers, and although ass kissing is a great way to move up the corporate ladder, it is not the preferred method in the case of GFY.

The only people kissing ass on GFY are USUALLY newbies or those who dont know any better. kissing big timers ass in the hopes that they may remmeber your name and say 'hi' to you on GFY, so you can feel special about yourself. Meanwhile, these bigtimers can see right through that, and will usually think you are a two faced little bitch who needs to be spanked. Whatever you do, do not kiss ass.

U know, ive thought about brining back the old Metaform, but I just don't know if it is possible now...Labret is a master at what he does, and the one thing he has going for him is he doesnt do any business on the boards, so he can afford to piss off many webmasters without it coming back to bite him in the ass later.

A good example of someone trying to do what Labret does and failing miserably is pimpdog. He is a joke. When he started, he had some potential, but he is too stupid for his own good. He is trying to self market himself, but his gears are stuck in step 1 of the 12 step self marketing program.

I respect everything that is being said here but i just have to say
people look at the number of posts way too closely at times. I undersatand and have seen "newbies" come here just to spam but there are others like myself who have been around for a few yrs and choose not to be around the boards at all until recently to gain some new friends in the biz and some potential clientel. I like it here and there's a lot of info that i gain. Anyways that's my thoughts...Happy Posting !!!

You remind me of an old dog(pun intended) I had when I was a little kid. The poor dog had a nack for running unto the street after a basketball whenever the kids were outside playing. He made a weekly event of this. He was hit by a car 2 times within 1 month. That gave him a cripled leg. 3rd time was the charm for this dog though, god rest his soul.

we always thought this dog's problom was that he was obsessed with moving balls. When I think about it now, I think his problom was that he has a non functional brain, even a crippled leg couldnt save his ass. I couldnt save that dog, and I cant save this dog(you).
