Use your visa to finance buying the shares.

they've got to be a little nervous about that IPO, the way the banking/finance world is going right now..had they done it 6 months ago, i am sure it would have gone really well. Now i am not so sure.

I wouldnt touch that IPO with a barge pole.... in current world scenario, id rather watch and see how the market treats them for a while.

Buying a company like at IPO is a lot more likely to turn bad than good. This isn't Google - it's a company that's tied directly into the American credit crisis.

Visa is a GREAT long term buy

Reason being Visa is a processor, they are like the middlemen more people swipe the more they make, they don't lend money or take on roles which American Express does of being a lender.

Wahooo, I am getting some IPO shares from Morgan Keegan & Co.

Hoping to pick up 50,000 shares but one rarely gets as many IPO shares as they would like.

It will be very interesting to see what happens with this considering the current state of the US economy. However, I could see this being profitable no matter what over the next 5 years.

Visa is much bigger then Mastercard and MA is at $201.52.

During recessions people turn to their credit cards more and Mastercard said card usage went up 9% last month !

Then add in inflation which is going up and Visa looks even better.

Visa should be at $280 soon !
