Subject: Strong Reminder: Affiliates are Prohibited from Promoting on Myspace!

The purpose of this email is to advise you that we will be increasing our vigorous enforcement of our prohibition against promotion on Myspace contained in our terms!

We have been in discussions with Myspace's legal team. They tell us that certain affiliates are polluting their site with promotional materials thereby seriously harming Myspace. To assist Myspace in controlling this significant problem and in an effort to avoid threatened litigation directed at the offending parties, we are immediately canceling accounts WITHOUT PAY, when provided with evidence by Myspace directly of a violation of our prohibition against promotion of Myspace.

So? What's the problem? Good for them.

It's against MySpace rules so you shouldn't be doing it anyway. You think it's OK to break one companies rules but not the other?

That's pretty much the same hypocritical attitude as those who bitch about content theft then download their cracked version of Photoshop.

It's not such a problem to me (if that comment was directed towards) me as the traffic from there has little if any impact to the entire scope of a campaign. But it did provide exposure and some, given my profile does have a link to a border/mainstream feeder site which has links into an ND site. I believe this letter is more directed towards people with fake/direct aff linked profiles though

I'm not surprised, true.com has been buying up ads on myspace like mad. I'm sure this is being done to make sure true.com gets the best value for their millions being spent.
