google adwords and yahoo tracking accuracy?
Im beginning to think that google and yahoo conversion tracking is highly inaccurate. Like about 50% inaccurate. Both seem to track only 50% of the sales they actually produce.
I know I should track on my own but haven't implemented that yet. Anyone here have similar results? |

I can tell you that in my case I use google tracking for both paypal and google checkout sales (this is for a mainstream site). In both cases the payment processors require a click after the transaction is complete for it to get counted by the conversion counter. I would estimate > 50% of the people simply exit the payment processor after the sale resulting in the conversion not being counted.
