Many would LOVE to be able to cut the affiliate out of the equation. We'll see about that one.

the affiliate industry will be dead within 10 years. and you'd better believe there are people actively trying to kill it...

The affiliates will be around in 10 years.

What will change is the affiliate will not control the industry. It's simple, most of the problems we face today are because we sell to the affiliate and his needs are not what our members need.

Sorry if that upsets some, but think about it. If you think Tubes are taking traffic ask yourself why. Not how can we force the surfer to buy. Many surfers prefer the quality of a Tube to the quality of pay sites. They simply will not spend enough to make the affiliate model in it's present form work.

Jesus H. Christ you are a moron. Do you think at all before you post this shit? You actually believe that surfers prefer the QUALITY of tube sites over paysites?

you aint seen nothing yet... new site coming soon that will offer full scenes and is 100% legit content as well as 2257 docs (as if that mattered)...

no user uploads permitted nor sponsor uploads.

they have rights to over 3000 dvds..

don't know how they plan on monetizing it yet, but I know they have and are
spending over $1 million on content and infrastructure...

since the content is all legit, they wont be able to be stopped unless they run out of money, which is highly unlikely...

I never said surfers I said many surfers.

IF tube sites are taking members away it's obvious they prefer the Tube site model to the paysite model. So for this I'm assuming we are losing members to Tube sites.

Many prefer them for the price v the hassle. The Tubes meet their needs better than the paysites they were buying from

The future will belong to those who meet the consumers needs first.

Go away and think a bit before you post.

i've been waiting for this - i knew somebody would attempt this soon.

I really hope the content providers understand what the fuck they are doing and have covered their ass and the asses of their customers against this kind of usage in their license agreements.

The content providers in this biz killed their own fucking businesses by allowing people to do anything they wanted with their content - it made it so affiliates no longer had to buy any of their own content - dumbasses. So now that they've fucked up that end of the business they will help destroy paysites.

Let's see how these DVD license providers handle this when they sell their existing customers down the river for cheap.

That sound similar to when a neighbouring country/state/big supermarket started selling goods well bellow the profit margin, and runs on supplys till the small guys/local providers die out. However, people are not that stupid anymore, is the industry?

Considering there hasnt been a successful all ad only site, that should be interesting. People keep forgetting the net tried that model already and for the most part it didnt work. Also porn isnt mainstream tv, governments are going to start to crack down.

If the affilates are going to dissappear or be squelched, I think what that also means is that the pay site concept will be going with it. The surfer will just stay at the tube site and get everything for free. The tube site itself will exist by selling cams and dating.

Don't fool yourself here. If you are giving out ten minute videos you aren't going to be selling the surfer any regular content whatsoever. They'll come there and grab your free content, sure, but they aren't going to buy a membership to what they are already able to get for free.

A lot of the problems sponsors are having have more to do with screwing the affiliates and the customers in my opinion. Affiliates have been shaved, cheated, and in general disrespected. Certain sponsors have worked hand in hand with Zango and others to cheat them every chance they get (24hr cookies, outright fraud, etc). Others....ahem....have been perceived to be hostile for years now. Is it any wonder that upon seeing this and their 0:7,000 ratio the affiliate eventually decides "fuck them" and promotes someone else instead?

For the customers you have people doing cross sells in tiny fonts, $1 trials converting into $100 subscriptions, limited trial memberships, members areas which haven't been updated in six months, etc. After you cheat them once they are going to be weary next time they consider pulling out the credit card. We're seeing that right now. Most of the people buying memberships today aren't porn newbies. They've bought before.

Then we have the people passing out 10 minute videos to surfers like candy at halloween on tube sites and the sponsors who are supporting this by accepting their traffic and paying them. It isn't joe blow affiliate who is profitting from this shit nd you won't be either long term.

Ten years ago you used to be able to throw up a site and get 1:150 conversions all the time. Now people are mostly happy with 1:1:1,000. Keep with the pattern and a few years from now, you'll be happy to do 1:10,000. And it isn't the affiliate who is doing it to you.
