Cigar experts

A friend stopped by on a layover coming back from Cuba. He left me a nice cigar.

Problem is, it is a rather large one, so I will have to wait for an opportunity to smoke it.

What is the best way to store a single cigar?

home made humidor..

a lightly ( i specify lightly) dampened paper towel. folded small in a large ziplock bag .. make sure it does not touch the cigar.. then put in the fridge .. in one of the drawers.. i mean this is not a good thing but it is better than leaving it out - or you could go to store and buy a cheap humidor

btw ... long time no speak. When are we hanging out next?

Do they make humidors for single cigars?

When you say "make sure they it does not touch the cigar" do you mean the paper towel?

When is the next time you and I are both going to be in CA at the same time and not at a show?

Oh, I see you answered my question with an edit.

I have a vacuum seal for foods. I have used it for other smokeables but seemed to be a little over the top.

Would that be too much for a cigar?

there are not humidors for single cigars. I usually keep in in a baggie rolled up in my fridge. If you like it this is a reasonable idea. 19.99 in case he gives you another one again.

Actually, there is. I went out and bought one yesterday. Well, I guess it would hold up to three cigars, but it is just one right now.

thanks for the tip, I have enjoyed cigars for a few years and have yet to see a smaller humidor for small quantities.
