Should I upgrade Photoshop?

I'm still rocking Photoshop 7 and thinking about upgrading but not sure if I need to.

I was thinking about going to CS3 but I have heard it crashes alot and not thrilled with the loss of imageready.

Just wanted to get some thoughts from you guys out there in the know. Thanks.

Really just depends on the system you are running and what tasks in photoshop you generally do.

CS3 runs pretty smooth on my MAC and PC. No single crash yet. Even with bigger .psd files (30mb++) no problems so far

I'm not really a harcore PS user, pretty basic, so I think there's a good chance the upgrade might not be worth it to me. Are there any features of the new software that make it worth the upgrade in your opinion?

I got a killer deal on the Creative Suite so I upgraded. Making due without ImageReady is easy as all the functionality is now within PS.

I just made this same upgrade a few days ago, and i am thoroughly unsatisfied with cs3. i find myself running back to ps7 constantly. i only use cs3 to open client's fies which are formatted for cs3 now....
