I'm not into it but sometimes I listen to Brahms and it's quite nice music.

this is good, got this from wikipedia when i was browsing the deer hunter

After the hunt, on the night before the comrades leave for war, John, their barkeep, plays Chopin's Nocturne in G-minor, Opus 15, No. 3, a bridge returning them from the primitive elation of hunting to the refined calm of civilization. The music's introspective mood communicates their fraternal love for each other, and contrasts their first-world modernity with the primitivity of the third-world peasants against whom they will soon war.

Lots of Bruckner's music was stolen by John Williams for the Star Wars soundtrack

Tchaikovsky is my favorite. Serenade for Strings in C (opus 48) always makes me happy. If piano is your thing, check out Chopin, Debussy, and Schubert.
