New Unlimited Cellular Plans (USA Only i think)
Starting on Feb 22nd most carriers (AT&T, Tmobile and Verizon) will be offering an unlimited calling plan for about $99 a month. I think Sprint is the only one that is also offering unlimited text. I called AT&T today to confirm this. However, they do offer a $199 a month plan but the guy told me when I called to call back after 8am on the 22nd and ask for the $99 plan.
Im always using a ton of minutes so this is a good deal for me.

Was talking with someone about this just a couple of days ago. I have 5 phones on my AT&T plan. For 1,400 anytime minutes per month, extended nights and weekends, free calls between at&t customers I'm paying $125 per month for the 5 lines. I thought, kewl.. the $99 plan will be better.
Turns out from what this person told me... it's $99 per line. So it would be $495 for 5 lines. Guess we'll find out soon enough if that's the case. PK

Sprint will probably undercut all these 99$ deals, or throw in unlimited txt + internet at that rate.(Tmo is unlimited txt, but no internet)

I have been on an unlimited plan now for at least the last 7 years or so, I also have unlimited text messages that cost around $3 extra per month. I have pretty much every available option that is offered and I pay between $65 to $70 per month after taxes.
The only thing is that package was only offered for about 2 years and then was made unavailable for new customers, but was grandfathered so if you already had that plan you could keep it. When they stopped offering that plan to new customers they were always trying to get the unlimited customers to switch to a different plan by dangling the proverbial carrot in front of them. I guess the figured they were not making as much as they could from those people so would offer them top of the line free phones 1 year for free with a 3 year contract in effect after the free year was up, etc. In all honesty it was pretty pathetic on behalf of the cell phone provider. |
