I like his ideas about transparent government, real universal healthcare that is not forced on people. What he represents as a counter to what we have--- the anti politics of fear His plans to reintroduce America to the world? his views on everything from religion to stem cell research and peoples individual rights Now what is it you don?t like about Obama? |

I have a feeling that you're going to ask that question all the way to Inauguration day and you're not going to get an answer you like.
Instead of challenging every Obama supporter and treating them like their some kind of teenie bopper enamored with a rock idol why don't you spend time and do your OWN research. I thought every Ron Paul supporter was a completely fucking nut until I did my OWN research. Education - Putting less stress on tests and more focus on actually teaching. Making it more affordable for kids to go to college by giving them money towards that goal in exchange for service to the government. Offering incentives to future teachers to help and encourage them to pursue that career. Military - He told them all he would go into Pakistan and tell them that if they do not want to hunt terrorists we will do so ourselves on our own behalf....in Pakistan. The Clintons laughed, the Edwards campaign laughed, President Bush even laughed. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/0...-_n_87433.html Whose laughing now? That tactic that they all laughed at just took down one of the worlds top terrorists. Thats just a few of the reasons. In the end if you're a Ron Paul supporter then you're most likely looking for smaller government. Smaller government is nice...but not the answer right now. If only Ron Paul was 20 years younger. Obama '08

I wish senile older people would realize that Barack Obama has amounted a INSURMOUNTABLE lead. Hillary Clinton needs 50% plus margin of victories in all of the remaining Primary's just to take the pledged delegate lead. Barack Obama's campaign claimed this fact and MSNBC supported. "Even with the most creative math" Hillary is most likely going to lose the Pledged Delegates. And if you think Super Delegates are going to highjack the election for the Clinton's you have another thing coming...it's not going to happen. Obama has energized the party. New voters, Independents, Republicans, and Democrats all amongst his coalition of supporters. Blah...why do I even waste my time.

Does it matter? Time and time again it's been shown that the majority of voters just vote on who they like... who they "think" is going to be good... Seriously.. Bush being voted in 2x is just the most recent obvious example.
I feel sorry for McCain.... If Hillary can't find a way to defeat the movement, the emotions that are running high for Obama and his message, then I don't see how any republican can hope to win. Between the high emotions on Obamas side and then the overhelming desire of dems to boot repubs out of the white house, McCain doesn't stand a chance... But then again.. the repubs are fantastic at demonizing anyone... |

What is really interesting is that Texas was completely misunderstood by the Clinton campaign and now they are forced to take last second drastic measure in order to save her campaign....I.E the whole plagiarism thing.
The way Texas splits their delegates heavily supports Obama. The mostly hispanic areas who either stayed home or voted for George Bush last time has much less say in Delegate count then the heavily Democratic black area.

Dude I completely agree with you that alot of Obama supporters have no clue why they like him. Today on Hard Ball with Chris Matthews he completely embarrassed a Texas rep when he asked him some of Obama's accomplishments. I wish I had the video. So fucking embarrassing. The rep ended up responding "I can not answer that question at this moment" to a stunned panel that pressured him including a Hillary supporter. If you like the guy because of his character fine...but at least take a few minutes to read up about him on Wiki or on his website. ![]()

I hope I satisfied your curiosity Email I just got from Seantor Obama Andre -- Today, the people of Wisconsin voted overwhelmingly in favor of a new kind of politics. They rejected an onslaught of negative attacks and attempts to distract them from the common concerns we all have about the direction of our country. No doubt we'll hear much more of these attacks and distractions in the days to come. But the noise of these tired, old political games will not drown out the voices of millions calling for change. Now is the time to join us -- add your voice to our movement by making your first donation right now. By giving through our matching program, your donation will be doubled by a previous donor who has promised to match your gift. We are very close to reaching our goal of 500,000 people giving to this campaign in 2008. Help push us over the top by making a matched donation right now: https://donate.barackobama.com/match We won't know until late tonight the results of today's Hawaii caucus, but we'll let you know how that turns out tomorrow. If we win in Hawaii, it will be ten straight victories -- a streak no one thought possible, and the best position we can be in when Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island, and Vermont vote on March 4th. Thank you for making this possible, Barack |

The old guard is afraid. All the powers that be on both sides see it slipping away. Real change is coming and it is a true movement and the establishment can't seem to get a grasp on it.
This is not a campaign anymore, it is the people speaking out. Look out big industry, big oil, insurance, and lobbyists you are in for a big eat shit sandwich. |

The reason Obama won more delegates in Nevada is because of the way the state decided to apportion them, the candidates had nothing to do with those rules. The fact is that neither candidate will have the 2025 delegates needed to win the nomination outright. This makes the popular vote even more important because when the party leaders meet to decide how to handle (or avoid) a brokered convention, who has the most votes is definitely going to matter. Also, for those of you who don't think 58 to 41 is a wipeout, anything 10 points or more is considered a landslide in an election. (Reagan beat Carter 50.7% to 41%)

Clinton was way ahead of Obama in terms of black support until her husband played the race card in South Carolina. That was the beginning of the end for them.

Obamas and Clintons views on the issues are almost the same so conventional wisdom just by looking at the exit polls would say blacks are voting for race and not on the issues. Thats not me saying this, it clearly shows it in the exit polls.

Here's something a little more scary for the repubs to think about. Look at the vote totals. The combined dems have almost a million votes, the repubs around 300 k yikes.
Obama 584,000 with 58 % in McCain 205,000 55% Over double the votes. This is gonna be wipeout for the dems if these numbers break this way in the general. |

This is a fact Clinton still counts some of the most powerful black cicil rights leaders in the country as her supporters and most black people I know personaly backed her 100% in the begining I think once the clintons showed that they would do and or say anythin to win... people realized that it was time for a change this has absolutely nothing to do with race except in the minds of those whom still have isues with race in America good to see that they are in fact a small minority of the people God Bless America!!
