Can I use VISA to terminate my competition by forcing chargebacks on them?!

Seems like somebody could play dirty pool quite easily... ???

It's all going to come down to who is VISA's favorite fuck buddy.

Of course that would be fraud -- but couldn't it happen? Has this ever happened before?

Funny I was thinking the same thing, except where I am it's nearly friggin impossible to charge back anything...

perhaps if I went down to visa headquarters, letters phone calls, whatever documents that I had, did not allow me to charge back anything, I'd certainly like to know how these other idiots can do it?

This may be a chink in the credit card company's armor. Fear of lawsuits may prompt them to be VERY careful when it comes to termination, since chargebacks can be generated fraudulently.

I've had the same experience with Visa. They wouldn't even acknowledge the existence of chargebacks when I had an issue with them. I think maybe they are more swayed by "parents" who claim that their "kids" accessed porn sites using their cards or some such bullshit. They'll charge that shit back because they don't want some pissed off parent making noise.

I have a pager that is 2 years old.. I got screwed by this company for $195 one month.. the monthly charge was supposed to be $12.50... I called the company first to reconcile - they said they would give me a credit for a year... 2 months later they are charging me like $150 again! And the stupid shit was, the pager had broken and was supposedly being repaired by this company!

So I call Visa and ask them to chargeback any charges possible from this pager company after explaining the situation - I had a contract in my hand saying "unlimited text pages for only $12.50/month"... Visa still wouldnt let me chargeback.

how do porn surfers chargeback so easily?

I know that porn surfers can chargeback easily.. so I guess if you got all your family credit cards together and signed up to a competitors site and then chargeback them all.. could screw someone over. but larger sites are gonna need a shitload of chargebacks to bust their ratios.... right?

I joined a content provider's content club in April to get exclusive content ! The person stopped the club the next month and I was stilling being billed two months later . I contacted the 3rd party processor and had the money charged back for the two months since the CLUB was gone..

You guessed it.. Now I can not use my credit cards with this BIG TIME processor.. I WAS the honest one.. GO figure...

OKay, if i get fired for giving out this information, one of yall has to support me! :-D

I work for a Credit Card company, doing collections. We have several things that we use for fraud. The little things (i.e. they charged me too much for this item) is very VERY hard to get resolved. The online merchants, the mail order stuff, is usually charged back (not identified as fraud) without any explanation. Those that claim fraud (and if you had more than three transactions that you "couldnt explain") will have that card cancelled, and a new number given out. But, if you do that too much, the card is cancelled entirely.

Is the fraud database card # driven? Or with the address verification, if you do it once, are you fucked?

BTW, its really funny, calling someone after 2 months of not paying, "I dont have any money, ive been out of work for 2 months" and seeing a CCBill charge last month!

Only for a short while and only if you never want to
use your Visa to buy something online again.

I had problems with my wife reversing charges when I
was in China last year, end result was that I had to finish
my stay with a MasterCard she didn't have access to.

After a couple "my husband would never charge that",
even though it was for business, they just killed *ALL*
online transactions, even rebills that started months
before.
