![]() I've only used Drupal on one of my sites cause someone recommended and I wish nothing but the most painful death upon that person. Drupal has proven to be naught but a pain in the ass and the headache never stops. At some point in the past admin's login quit working. You try to log in using same log in info as always and it tells you that it's an unrecognized username or password. You have an option to reset the password, which when used, it emails me the link which is supposed to reset it - I click that link and it opens what appears to be a temporary admin area, but whatever you click within, it gives an error message that I'm not authorised to access that page
Drupal = USELESS I'm not able to log in, I'm not able to reset shit, what is this crappy soft about? Does anyone have any experience with this pos script? Why did it start acting up and why can't I make it work? Anyone familiar with this particular issue? |

Try using the ssh protocol to log into your server.
Right click, save as http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/.../x86/putty.exe |

That being said, if you don't know what SSH is, then your server is probably managed so you should contact your Hosting company/Tech/Admin first.

Same thing you just wrote here, that you can't log in. They should be able to help you out.

Sorry about that, I tought drupal was a web admin thingie...
Just backup your stuff, try again to login, debug yourself, or have a tech try to fix your stuff and if you can't just re-install the software. It might just be a permission issue. |

Thanks a lot Evil E, I have contacted my techs and see if they can help with anything. I'll take it from there. I just thought maybe this was a common issue... I still think Drupal blows. I've never had ths type of issues with other scripts

seems that the error pages are due to permissions set to low.
As for the user/password, it should be stored in your database. It probably uses MD5 encryption, so you can add a new user and a new encrypted password in the database using phpmyadmin ( or similar ). You would then be set ... But maybe ask TheKing, he is very usefull here .... lol
