Brando's ex-wife, Deborah Brando, sued him for domestic violence in 2005. She claimed that shortly after their 2004 marriage, Brando repeatedly beat her and threatened to kill her in the presence of her teenage daughter.

Plus it was an accident. They were both struggling to reach for a gun and it accidentally went off. I wonder what happened though with Christian Brando and his late sister Cheyenne to have had so many problems in life. Not trying to point the finger at Marlon and the mother... but.

Actually, that's not entirely correct. Those reports that said they struggled for the gun aren't true. If you look the info up on wikipedia the forensics clearly indicate there was no struggle. It still could have been an accident though. Nobody will ever know that for sure I guess.
