. Get your ass down to the States and gets some care. Try and you'll find away to get some free medical help in the US. If you go to the ER with those numbers, they'll do something.

There are drugs that will lower the BP like right now. So a stop at the local hospital on your way down makes sense. Don't know the deal with a quick response in Canada???? Gee, if you walk into an ER, it would seem they would do something.

Sometimes when I'm busy working on something, and then I notice that the server is having problems, and then someone walks in to ask me a question right then, and then the phone rings -- my BP reaches around that point for a little bit.

Let´s say that if you are just sitting there in front of your PC and you happen to check your blood pressure and it is at 170/120 is pretty bad, unless you suffer from panic attacks, GAD, or you were just running, etc. A sudden pump in your adrenaline can raise your blood pressure a lot. I once got it at 190/110, pulse at 154, and it was a panic attack, after 5 mins it was back to normal 120/80, but it won´t harm you to get it monitored at an emergency room or best get a 24 hr blood pressure monitoring ;)
