Yes and no... 2007 revenues of $900k does not mean 2008 will be the same, especially with today's tube trend... The way I see it, the owners now have $500k+ in the bank and no work to do, and can feel free to work on whatever new projects (madisonavenue) they have going.

Could of gotten a lot more for centerfolds.com if he'd of taken it to the internext auction in my opinion.

Now, that's a serious decline, even if keeping in mind that Alexa stats aren't very accurate. 500k is nice money, but compared to what the site would have been worth some time ago...

maybe CJ traded the traffic off over the last few months for one last grab at some cash, knowing that they planned to sell the property in a few months?

Hell, I would have begged, borrowed, lied, and stole to raise the money to buy it if I knew it would sell that cheap.

What I meant was, people are making it out to be this super crazy deal of the century when I think it's more of a normal deal

It was probably either $100 (the first price I paid for domains) or $70 (what they "dropped" it to). Before the $100 fee, I think they were free.

Yeah, as I recall it was $100 to register a domain name back then.

Mind you, before 1995, I think domain names were free.
