if you can only afford the older car, that would be the point-but that insurance info sucks

where are you located? i know in nj, if you just moved or never had insurance AND you have a clean driving record, it is more difficult for you to obtain insurance then if you had 11 points on your license and commited vehicular homicide. no bullshit.

The insurance companies know that everyone in the northeast
is rich. Rich people can afford to pay more.

They give us poor southerners a break.
I pay $335 per month(total) full coverage on 4 newer vehicles.

I am 20, have had insurance for 4 years, drivers license for 4 years, no tickets, no wrecks, no insurance claims. Taken drivers safety course. I was thinking about buying a newer vehicle but that insurance kills it... insurance for guys doesnt start to drop until about age 24. I guess im sticking to the $150 a month insurance on my 92 explorer worth about $4k, lol.

yO thats my favorite topic ; )
I paid 8,500$ a year with 2,000 deductible for Acura TL-S
Car was registered in NY. I had 0 points on my drive license and
fake marriage (for my insurance company) ; ) + after one year they increased it up to 10,500 a year. After that i switched my registration to NJ and paid 3.5k ( what a relief : )

Don't have a car in NY if you're under 25 : )
