ok my wires were really messy inside my computer so i decided to screw some things in a bit tighter and clean it up
now my computer wont boot up at all.. i dont even hear a beep so i can look up beep error codes or something i see all the fans powering up, i see my video card fan power up, when my monitor cable is hooked up to my video card i dont see 'signal cable not connected!' on my monitor.. and yet when i turn on my pc my monitor stays black and the light on yellow. any ideas whats wrong?

maybe you knocked loose an SATA cable(they come out way too easily) Maybe the vid card isn't seated. maybe the power supply is bad...but it would be a major coincidence that it went bad as you were fiddling around in the case. It's more likely that you have knocked something crucial loose. |

Just check each power cable that leads away from the power supply. Something may look like it's snug and it's not. If anything is loose and making contact with the case then you won't start either as the power supply won't allow a short within itself, typically.

You probably short circuited the board..nothing shows up on your screen?
Do you see the hdd led start flashing after a few seconds? If not but you hear the disk spinning....most likely your mainboard is fucked....

remove everythign, reseed the power supply to the mobo.... power for leds is simple, might not have enough power to boot though, which means the p/s died or perhaps shorted (leave it off for a hour and retry)

went to a computer store and they got it fixed
for future reference: this was fixed by removing everything (mobo too) and inserting everything from scratch. the guy said it might have been something to do with 'short chip' (i cant remember if thats the name) - where heating/cooling cycles causes the cpu to temporarily fuck up

go back to the beginning and replug everything in. did you unplug the power when you were tightening all the connections? That could have had an effect. But I'd say just take it apart and put it back together, that should work.
