Who can write me a cms?

I need a paysite CMS written. Preferably in php.

I'm sick of the out-of-the-box stuff. I tried awiz but the manual isn't written in readable english so I gave up.
I tried sitedepth but the manual doesn't explain very much and their support is pretty much non existant.

I need someone dependable who writes English well and can document their work thoroughly.

Please get in touch with me so I can show you what I need and you can give me a quote.

Email lenny at bigeasynetworks.com

If you've written a cms before that you can just mod to my specifications that would be a huge plus.

Well, this is the common discussion custom made v/s out-o-the box solutions.

Have you checked out MAS from Mansion Productions?
You should know it may cost you 5-10 times more to have someone create ONE solution for one site of yours, over just the standard MAS which can be customized if there are specific feature requests not built in.

It might also cost less - there are alot of cheap freelance programmers out there who could program a CMS following your requirements, for less than what MAS costs. The features will be less than what the retail system has of course, and the quality and support will be doubtful.

In turn, if you buy a ready-made system, you may find features already in, that you have not thought of before, and everything is well-played, tested and proven to work for hundreds of customers. PLUS you get support always around.

what do you need your CMS to do?

i had a custom cms built for TRM... nothing fancy, just exactly what i needed to get going... adding bells & whistles later

if you go with a developer DONT overbloat your shit, keep to the bare minimum and just make enhancements

Talk to AJ at www.elevatedx.com. After wasting my money on *cheap* CMS's (i.e. sitedepth, awiz, etc.) I went with them and can not not happier. Wish I was willing to spend money at the start.

I would stay away from custom as you will probably need long term support.

Hey that one looks really nice, I sent them a request for a demo.

Are they around when you need them for support?

My vote goes to MAS. Very flexible easy to understand....smart interface
and very organized the way it works even with large amounts of content.

The most important thing IMHO is not to use anything that is fully dynamic
on the user end. This means you end up with tons of mysql queries for every
request by a member when navigating you site. It will cause a lot of load
while absolutely being unnecessary. The backend should be dynamic and
the user front end static. The system should just rebuild any items to updated
static pages once they have been changed....

MAS is exactly built to do this....and it's database design is done properly
like how a relational database should work.....Without a shadow of a doubt
MAS is worth the investment....it will save you tons of headaches in the
future.

As a programmer, I'd suggest you use MAS. In the long term, unless you have a competent staff who is capable of maintenance, you're better off buying something that's supported by a team of programmers.

I second that.....even if you're capable to build things yourself....even if you
can do it as good it's not always better to go for that in every situation..

Coz with some things building it is the easy part....maintaining it and keep
developing it is the tricky part and quite often just isn't worth doing it
yourself.

Note to Grouchy.....I will still hit you up asap as I've said many times during
the last 2 months or so......and I honestly haven't forgot about it......but you
know.....so many things to do so little time......so please interpreted asap
not too strict.........you know me, I'm like a hot chick...you need a little
patience before you get to funky part

Promises, promises, promises. You still owe me an install of something. I don't remember what it was, though. ;)

pity you tried the worst first.
Try CARMA or MAS for professional CMS systems.

My choice is CARMA, there has not been a type / style of site [from small to MASSIVE networks] that can't be built in it.

Regarding aWIZ:
1. Could you say what exactly was wrong in the script?
2. Whether any features declared on the site was missed in the script you got?
3. If you got some problems, did you contacted aWIZ support and they didn't fix your problems?

And, please, just to make sure that your post is not a black-PR from false "aWIZ client", would you be so kind to say your aWIZ licensed domain?
We never had a client with email, stated in your sig.
Thanks.

try these guys - they do adult and mainstream

Try these guys --> aboutweb.com.au

They specialise in developing e-commerce, database-enabled, dynamic websites....I've used them twice and they kick butt....flexible and freindly.

In the end, it depends on your needs I guess.....but you just tell them what you want and they'll spec and cost it up in a web proposal.

No, I dont work for them - they just do good work (and trust me, I've seen PLENTY of dodgy and shoddy work over the years)....my motto is if find someone good, then stick to them like shit to a blanket.

later....
