Every site I mention in my post above is sub 10,000 on Alexa. While I don't dispute that Alexa means little in real world terms for adult sites and is almost always way off base with their stupid combination of reach and page views, that check I just did on Compete was not even remotely close, and on sites with tens of thousands of uniques per day. It reports sites with 30,000 uniques per day as having 90,000 per month. Surely not accurate for me. Any suggestions at what level it becomes more reliable?

Not that it matters, those dick measuring sites are only interesting on the boards.

Tube sites might be the new tgp/mgp, but I don't think the likes of mgp and tgp are dead. People still want quality even(i'd go as far as saying *especially*) in their porn, alot of people tend to overlook this when yabbering on about tube sites.

I feel Tubes prove that super high quality isn't needed, but rather just a damn good porn flick, story or not.

True HD porn doesn't sell all that well.

The counter market is getting hit because of all the no-script / script block tools that come with virus protection packages, plugins, ect these days. No 3rd party counter / javascript works on my machine. This is getting stronger has FF takes more ground too.

For every 1 person with enough bandwidth to continually watch tube movies you have 10 that don't have enough bandwidth to wait for one to buffer. Picture TGP's are still popular, MPG's didn't replace them, and Tubes aren't going to replace them either.

You have a higher chance of the recession killing broadband connections than Tubes being any reason why traffic/sales have dropped.

It's great to see a person with his finger on the pulse.

I noticed all our sites disappeared/reappeared at the bottom of Alexa when IE 7 came out, and upgraded everyone's browsers without importing the toolbar; that is/was the barometer, so unless you're Google or Yahoo it's gonna take a few indexations and crawlothons before you relist realistically...

No biggie.

I have never paid too much attention to Alexa ranking, better to base it off of web stats.
