Makes perfect sense to me and I applaud you guys for your ethics; disclosing things like conflicts of interest is precisely what helps avoid the sort of problems that TMMsegpay is rife with.

Mansion's conflict of interests seems obvious. This action does not surprise me.

Like TMM owning multiple affiliate programs a biller and an affiliate software. Nobody should have access to that much data. I say this is a very smart move on th part of mansion.

No shit. To be honest, I would probably have a problem using NATS simply because they own their own paysites.

I don't mind helping out, but giving them possible access to info on my affiliates and members seems just a little insane.

I have written articles in Xbiz about how we need to clean up as an industry. TMM stands for exactly the types of dirty business I have been fighting against. Nothing I have said has been untrue rather it is there for people to be aware of what they may or may not know and so they can decide for themselves who they can trust to do business with.

I wish I had gotten the warnings before we got in bed with them years ago so I could have avoided a mess and saved our company time and money. Unfortunately I did not dig the info up on them till later.

Its a move that makes great sense for everyone involved. When you consider the intermingling I think that this clears up a lot of conflicts of interest and is best for all parties involved.

D-MAN,

I'm Surprised at you! You've been around a long time and I know you are a smart man. I Can't believe you can't see what a major conflict of Interest this is for Mansion. Step back and look at this situation for a minute....anyone would have done the same.

If I didn't know better I'd think you were acting as a shill for TMM/NATS on this topic.

Nevermind that I'm pretty sure you only have half the story. I'll bet this was already in the works the moment NATS announced their financial ownership/interest in SEGPAY....and honestly, so what if it came out in a press release by Mansion?

I doubt Mansion released this for marketing purposes, but even if it was...so what?! where have you been? You know very well that things like this happen in mainstream on a regular basis...why should our business be any different? And if you really want to talk about that subject why don't you take a gander at some of the "Marketing" practices NATS has employed over the years...I think those are equally interesting from my prospective.

anyway just my 2 cents

this tmmsegpay shit STINKS to high heaven, PERIOD

there is absolutely NO reason that TMM should have ANY bought interest in a processing company, and anyone that trusts them from this point on is a moron

I used to think that John and those guys were kickass folks, but this deal to become processors went a bit too far over the line

Hi mike ; ) No im so not shilling for TMM, I feel sorry for them that they allowed this mess in the first place. Yeah I have been around a long time and i don't forget all the shit thats gone on, so no ones getting any love on this one!

I'm not taking sides, they both fuck-up beyond reason and i don't stand up for TMM or Manson. I do question the timing and reasoning of this press release as throwing a drowning man a rock.

TMM has good software and a hugely fucked up security issue. One that may cost them everything before the dust settles and fuck John for letting it get this far.

MPA has good software and lives in a glass house and should not be throwing stones. I wonder how many millions were shaved by MPA software before the whistle was blown on them. I bet not one person who posted here was directly effected by that shave and had money stolen from their pockets.

So they made a mistake re-wrote their software to not steal, so what that makes them stand-up guys? Please tell me how?

I had IBilll on my program and got screwed. I took a big hit on that one. I won't even go into the Ibill issue and what a clusterfuck that was or Babenet.

So TMM makes a great backend (way over priced) that takes the place of the alturnitive MPA. (maybe others but none written expressly for adult that are any good). Now TMM fucks up.

So whats the difference one company (MPA) made a tool for any douche bag to steal from you. TMM got hacked and fucked us all by trying to save face.

So which is worse? Both lack the apperent judgement to be in a position of trust with "OUR" money or information. So what do we do?

All i was saying is to claim TMM will steal info or code or whatever the precived concern may be I don't see as a valid argument. Kinda like a cheater not trusting anyone to not cheat. As for a total lack of trust and whatever I don't see TMM as asking for hackers to fuck them on the other hand MPA aided theft and got caught.

The press release makes you think MPA just now found out that IBill's Exec's started Segpay which is false.

To say TMM has a vested interest in Segpay and this is "a conflict of interest". Well it may well be, that fact is plausable. But I knew who Segpay was right after they opened it. It's not like they all have not been at the shows.

Now add the timing of the TMM mess and the press release of TMM's direct competitor. Yeah i still stick to my though it's a low blow - hitting below the belt to take advantage of someone when they are down.

Timing is everything - You can see by this thread how people react. I think a lot who read this are not seeing it all as clearly as they may if they had more info.

It's real easy to take shots at TMM right now. It's not hard to make the leap from TMM fucking up to say well if they fucked up that then they will fuck up segpay too because Segpay is just Ibill under another name.

If I owned TMM and all is well and I see a chance to invest in Segpay and make an alliance like that I may have thought it a good idea too. I know John knew who he was investing in (Ibill) Segpay. Im sure at the time that was penned this TMM mess had not even happened yet.

Take the TMM mess out of the story for a minute. Then look at the press release again.

Many gave/give MPA a second chance after the "shave".

So why are we all so quick to condem TMM or Segpay.

Again no ones getting any love till TMM fix's the fuck-up

The fact is he can get on IOS cause he is "old school" - It's not a public board and by it's invation only! I was one of the many who helped this board get started promoting it on PLR and PLRradio for years - Im not a sig whore and you can see I do not benefit from any of the links in my sig (no referral code) - so you can go back to sig whoring and forget you clicked that link and i'll take the banner off

Sig's used to be what you do - not a sold ad space or to make a profit like they are now

I am one of the owners of IOS along with Dragonking and Sharky - and i own the other 3 sites - Lens has never stopped any owner from flying thier own sites, boards or not me - Meatman - Serge or many other oldschool webmasters that have linked their sites - I know jman and i forgive him he's canadian - the other Jayman and myself have did alot for GFY - If Lens wants to tell me after 7 years that i can't put my own sites in my sig anymore then I guess i'll hear from him.
