Gambling on credit (i.e., debt) should be illegal. Plain and simple. Borrowing money to make a bet with? Absolutely insane.

You get some idiots, addicts, and fools trading stocks, but you get a lot more of them gambling. Placing a bet on credit is a disaster waiting to happen. I believe in some cases, it is already illegal... I am guessing this law just shores-up existing law in the context of online casinos.

Why not spend money combatting and treating the addicition, rather than legislating morality?

People investing their life's savings in an online porn venture and, without a business plan or safety net, quitting their jobs and plunging head-long into the abyss is a disaster waiting to happen. Let's make that illegal.

The Credit Cards for some is just a convienient method of transferring money to their online casino, and not necessarily going into debt. People are responsible for their own actions in everything they do, so Bet with your head and Not over it. If you don't have the money to pay your cc bills, then you shouldn't use it
