Password Advice

Don't use the password on your ePassporte account anywhere else.
If someone accesses your information at a sponsor, email or similar and see your ePassporte UserID they will most likely try your password at ePassporte.

So if you use your ePassporte password elsewhere log in and change it by going to "Edit My Profile" -> "Login information"

Happy Holidays to Everyone

I thought about it last week that its a possibility that someone uses the same password for a sponsor and their ePassporte account, I did that in the beginning when I started online and its a security risk, this could be a reason an account is compromised, I don't know about the current situation what info if any were compromised for example if a program shuts down or have a rogue employee its better to be safe than sorry and with the posts the last couple of days I figured it would be a good time to remind everyone cause the only thing I hate about my job is when people contact me cause their account have been compromised it can get me down cause no one deserve to have their money stolen by low life scum, thats why I have yelled, screamed and done everything I could to have the log in process to ePassporte made more secure.

I am not out to start any fights or point any fingers at anyone cause I don't have a clue whats going on in general. I just want everyone to have a good experience using ePassporte.
Some probably thinks that its safe enough to use the same password for everything but its not. The 2 most important passwords for webmasters are their hosting and domain passwords, if you lose either or both it can kill even the most successful webmaster but your ePassporte password is pretty important too.

I dont blame you Michael, you have always resolved my issues in a very timely manner. I was referencing another issue. Regardless of what people may post, my experience with epass has been nothing but good. And, I will say that without your help, I would have left epass long ago as wel as others I am sure.. You and epass are gold in my book....

Thanks for all your support...

All passwords are encrypted, no one from ePassporte can access your password.
Thats why we can not resend the password to you only reset it if you forget your password.

I am sure NATS encrypts passwords so that is safe, this thread wasn't a stab at them it was more FYI.

Bottom line people: if you're using the same password for multiple different web sites then that is YOUR PROBLEM! Learn to properly secure yourself on the internet and grow a brain.

I guess not having an epass account at all is the best solution!

Actually it's the most intelligent comment in this thread next to the original one that should be common sense
