Do car rental places allow you to leave the car if a diff city?

lets say you are making a one way trip can you leave the car in that city at the same rental company?

or do you always have to bring it back?

any idea?

Some will probably let you do that... A few companies over here in the UK do it. Mainly airport car rental companies.

I think they charge more, but I don't see why they wouldn't let you

yes they charge you a relocation fee.. it's bloody expensive... since your in Calgary.. i've asked for this before... to Winnipeg, charge was like $250.00... just insane... basically to cover their labor costs of having a guy drive it back...

Yes, but why don't you grab your phone and call them instead of asking the question here? Are you retarded?

Well...Yes and no....

It's called a "Drop off fee." Some places charge one and some do not. The fee has nothing to do with paying somebody to drive the car back though.

The larger companies allow it yeah, and as aaron said there's usually a nominal fee once you're talking 100miles+ from the original location.

It depends where you're dropping off too. If I drive from Chicago to Minneapolis, I don't get charged one. If I drive to a smaller town that doesn't carry a lot of cars, they will charge me one.

I think that depends on the company and the location
