Do car rental places allow you to leave the car if a diff city?
lets say you are making a one way trip can you leave the car in that city at the same rental company?
or do you always have to bring it back? any idea? |
Usually just drive it until it breaks down and leave it there.
Ok... I really dont know. |
i think they do, uhaul lets you do it.. i think other places might
|
Most rental chains will let you do a different drop off...
|
Some will probably let you do that... A few companies over here in the UK do it. Mainly airport car rental companies.
|
wow get a live dude....
|
I think they charge more, but I don't see why they wouldn't let you
|
yes they charge you a relocation fee.. it's bloody expensive... since your in Calgary.. i've asked for this before... to Winnipeg, charge was like $250.00... just insane... basically to cover their labor costs of having a guy drive it back...
|
Yes, but why don't you grab your phone and call them instead of asking the question here? Are you retarded?
|
Most have special one way rates.
All the info's on the individual rental companies' websites. |
most have one way make sure you ask and check prices they differ LOTS
also outa state is more expensive with most |

Well...Yes and no.... It's called a "Drop off fee." Some places charge one and some do not. The fee has nothing to do with paying somebody to drive the car back though. |
The larger companies allow it yeah, and as aaron said there's usually a nominal fee once you're talking 100miles+ from the original location.

It depends where you're dropping off too. If I drive from Chicago to Minneapolis, I don't get charged one. If I drive to a smaller town that doesn't carry a lot of cars, they will charge me one.
