Just curious how you are handling your 2257 docs since you have to provide them to the people you are selling to?

You provide the I.D. with the model's name and D.O.B., and black out the rest? You providing the model release with all of her info?

I know that some content providers are not providing shit, and tell people to refer authorities to them (like in the case of TGPs) so they are not handing out model's info to the beer money people.

Discuss.

If you are not selling semi exclusive, or a content store. Or dealing with selling off assets later down the line, prolly is no concern to you.

These days I only shoot exclusive and I only shoot for the clients I want to shoot it for....People I personally know and trust. They get all the dcs uncensored.

Was just curious. I see so many debates on here about companies who refuse to hand over uncensored, or anything. Was curious how others handle it.

Same for me, I only film custom exclusives for pretty much well known web and DVD companies, so they get all the content and docs as a matter of routine.

Have not changed the way we operate in years, we were always compliant with 2257 and still are.

We provide on the vast majority of our content the following.

Picture of the girl holding 2 2257 compliant IDs next to her face at the beginning of every shoot. The IDs contain a picture of the girl, her legal name, signature and D.O.B. We black out her ID number.

A model release signed on the day the set was shot, signed by her, witnessed and containing any other names she may have worked under and she writes in her D.O.B. We remove her address.

Not changed anything, was and still 2257 compliant.

I was referring mainly to model's contact info. Obviously these girls are not going to be working for the company you are providing for, so there is no need for address, e-mail, phone numbers, etc.

Exactly, no need for contact info and it's safest not to give it. So if Lykos has a very cute girl, I buy her set and then contact her to work for me. Lykos, save me the trouble and just send the girls phone numbers. LOL

as a consumer of content, i can honestly say that paul's stuff is always excellent when it comes to 2257 info. always well organized and easy to work with.

I only shoot exclusive content. The client provides me with their preferred model release. I hand them back the releases, IDs and sometimes a video disclaimer. Basically, whatever the client wants as far as 2257, I give it to them.

Anyone need some exclusive content?

Good feedback gents.

For those who deal with multiple companies, just wanted to make sure you were blocking out model info as well.

There is no need for TGP owners, or affiliates, or clients buying content to have contact info on the girls.

I agree, there is no reason for that....BUT....I trust my clients so if they want that info, they can have it.

Most girls don't even have their current address on their ID's but as ChefJeff mentioned, various clients supply their own releases and some of those releases do request that info.

I agree wholeheartedly if you are working with one studio, or a handful and do all your work there. You have a trust system in place, and repeat business. I concur 100%.

But if you do not have that rapport, then going through the extra steps to protect the girls are key. Especially when there were talking about every beer bong McDonald's affiliate or TGP owner was going to need copies of the docs.

I go out of my way to make sure all content is compliant. Most, if not all of our docs are unblanked. I don't have any issue with a producer wanting to blank the model's address, but name, photo, DOB, and ID# must always be visible. I leave the decision up to the producers themselves.
