how does it effect current segpay customers?
|
very nice .. good acquisition
|
Congrats to all involved, sounds like a huge more :)
|
Sorry, But to even hear the word "Ibill" and any past association with them is enough to say no thanks. I have a 10,277.61 reasons for this. I have every email from them as they promised payment to me. To date... ZERO payout. Cathy might just be a great person... but you know what... she GOT her paycheck. I never got mine.

Cathy Beardsley, iBill's President, has announced that she will be leaving iBill to pursue other interests. While IBD regrets Cathy's departure we note that she chose both in the interests of iBill's clients and employees to remain at iBill during the very difficult months of uncertainty while IBD evaluated iBill's business. It is largely due to her efforts that IBD was able to feel comfortable in our ability to address iBill's financial issues and complete this acquisition to the benefit of iBill's clients. Over the next 30 days, Cathy will be working with IBD management to ensure the finalization of the First Data reserve release as well as the implementation of the Inteca trusted third party payment program for our European clients. She may also continue to work with iBill on a freelance basis going forward.

Fuck IBILL ! Fuck SegPAy Fuck Cathy Beardsly !
Fuck anyone who was employed with the former ibill and continued to tell lies to webmasters when they knew the truth! Cathy knew what was going on at ibill and her actions and words led to webmasters losing even more money ! Some say you cant shoot the messenger but in this case we can because the messenger was getting her fucking paycheck every week she sat there and continuted to assure webmasters they would get there money. She got her paycheck for christmas while webmasters got lied to and screwed ! in my eyes anyone who worked at ibill in thepast has the potential to use the same methods to fuck webmasters presently as ibill did in the past.. and got away with it. FUCK IBILL FUCK SEGPAY and FUCK CATHY BEARDSLEY ! |

I knew that a post of that nature would happen pretty quickly. |

No matter where you go... there you are. She was the "Pres" While I was being directly lied to. You are going to sit there and now tell all of us that she has no "power" no "Idea" what was going on? BS. Tell you what, when she cuts me a check from HER earnings running Ibill which, I'm sure was a pretty good paycheck, then I will start to think different. Until then, she is a thief like the rest of the company SHE RAN. |
Further more... It's people like her in my opinion that helped prolong the fraud... yes FRAUD against us and she should be charged along with the rest of them. Im not the only one that thinks so either....
Read this from NEW YORK TIMES. http://www.newyorkdailytimes.com/home.htm?m=ibill Notice the DATE of the report.... She took leadership during the worst of it, and then under her they fleeced us. Simple as that. |

Congrats John & Charlie on your acquisition - I know you're going to take all the lessons learned from the failure of every other billing company to heart and make sure you're protecting everyones interests. It's great that smaller programs will have another option for billing (which from my understanding their funds are 'better' protected) and which will allow them to get affiliate software in order to bring their program to the next level.

Congrats on the parntership John and Charlie! Look forward to seeing you guys again!

As you said, Cathy took leadership during the worst of it. She became the face of iBill's downfall even though the events that caused FD to terminate iBill's relationship with them had been set in motion prior to Cathy's taking the position of CEO. She had no idea of the situation when she took the position and could have very easily walked away when she found out what was going on. She chose not to because she hoped she could do something positive for those who were about to lose a lot of money. She did do things for iBill clients that would not have happened had she not been there. For example, $20 million was freed up and paid out to EU merchants during Cathy's time there which most likely would not have been paid out had she not been there. Unfortunately, the US reserves were a lot harder to have distributed. Again, I totally understand your anger and frustration. I had close friends of mine who were screwed by iBill. I know what went on there. It was a shitty thing that happened. Of course Cathy is going to tell you she is doing everything she can to get you paid, she was. Unfortunately she did all she could and that left a lot of people out in the cold and unpaid. That article is from The New York Daily Times, whatever that is, not the New York Times. I have no idea what that is and how respectable it is and therefore I'm not going to comment on the article. Again, I understand your anger and you have every right to be angry. Hopefully one day you'll place that anger where it is deserved, at those who caused iBill to fall as it did and not at those who were the face of iBill when things became public and did everything she could to get as much paid out as possible. |

You say Fuck a lot :) Again, I understand you being pissed off. Anyone who got screwed over should be. Cathy did know what was going on and she chose to stay there and try to do as much as she could to fix it. She could have easily walked away and maybe she would have been better off doing so. However, she feels she shouldn't have and says even if she knew how people would look at her after all of it she still wouldn't have. She knows she got more people paid than would have been if she wasn't there. if you don't have confidence that your money will be safe with TMMSegPay then I would not expect you to use it. If after you see how the new company is run you do one day, we will be happy to work with you. |
Hmm interesting. Would be great if ppl who use TMMsegpay, can have TMMsegpay the individual affiliates(as stated aerlier) And even better of they can merge accounts...
Maybe I misread it, but is there a date you want this all going live? Like an ETA? |
Congrats on the acquisition.
I'm not sure if I missed the part on merchant accounts but do you require your own merchant account or do you provide that like CCBill? Have you ever considered getting clients funds protected in some way so that people may feel a little more comfortable using your processing company? Broker protected or insured? Just curious on that idea. Anyways, how do I get in on this. I am very interested in discussing this with you more. |

The merchant's (client's) funds are protected as they are distributed to the merchant from the bank. Our hands never touch your funds. I don't know if anyone can provide more protection than that. IMO it is a groundbreaking move forward in the protection of your funds. There will be a whole lot more info in the coming weeks. We just wanted to get the news out there as we are all very very excited. |

This concept will be taken even a few steps further, we just aren't quite ready to share exactly how yet :) We hope to have that system up during February 2008 or possibly a bit sooner. |

I will contact you to discuss with you in the new year |

Congrat on the move. Should do amazing for you and all the Nats customers :)

Congrats John :thumbsup

John & Charlie taking over the world !!
Why only SegPay why not AdultFriendFinder too :) |
Seems like a very obvious conflict of interest here to me, given some of the things that have been stated for the record in the last year or so...

I like Cathy, I have nothing against you and Charlie, however, I was pretty clear in my initial statement as to what I might have been referring to, so maybe you want to read it again. |
this is good news since I use both of SegPay and NATS :)

The fact that I think it's a conflict of interest for you to own part of a processing company? That's pretty clear.
I don't see CCBill or Paycom with any access to data that is not processed by them directly. |

If you don't trust myself & Charlie then don't use any of our offerings. Many people do trust us, and I think that says a lot. |
