My bestfriend, let's call her 'Lola', went out on a blind date on Saturday with 'Burt'.

They had a fun time together, but on monday the mutual friend that set them up, 'Sandra', was getting so up in their business about how the date went that Lola and Burt decided to play a prank on her through email, and to keep things going the two of them blind copied each other on every email to Sandra.
The following is the email trail of how the prank transpired.

I thought maybe you could clue me in...does your friend Burt normally drink a lot? You can ask him how the date went but I'm betting he doesn't remember much.

Saturday was...well...interesting. I think she got a bad impression of me right off with the BMW...she had a few remarks about that...but she's got a sense of humor, so I figured I was reading too much into things. Dinner was ok, but I'm guessing she had quite low expectations...not sure if I even cleared those initial hurdles. Then she started pushing margaritas...perhaps out of boredom? Dunno. At least I can say it was the best blind date I've been on (ok, ok, it's the only one mind you, but still). Her take may be different - women are always tough for us guys to read.

So, there was a guy she went out with a couple weeks ago (she made it sound like a group thing, but I doubt that - she tried the "oh, what's his name, I forget" bit) there who she kept trying to get his attention from the minute we walked in there. Eventually he came by to say hi and she was all over him. It was
like a guy in a sports bar with football on over his date's shoulder.

I suspect that's why she kept going up to the bar for more rounds (with my money, of course) so she could chat him up. She can definitely drink me under the table though - I don't think the tequila bothered her at all. Probably buying him drinks at the same time.

She finally just said she was leaving, went and talked to the guy for a minute, and the two of them took off.

So much for getting back in the saddle again, eh?
