I can't believe anyone would consider going there for a vacation. It looks great in pictures, but as far as I'm concerned you're just asking for trouble heading to any of those Middle Eastern areas with their fucked up laws.

I live in Dubai for the last year or so and I can tell you that the law here is much more straight forward than other places.
And trust me ... I spent lots of time in other countries (including USA) before I got here.
They only go crazy on a few things but they let you know very clearly what those are:

NO DRUGS
NO PORN
oh yeah ... and DONT DRINK AND DRIVE

You have to respect that ... you come to their country ... you should respect their laws.

And by the way ... I am not sure he is going to jail for the porn ... more likely its for the drugs.

Its one of the safest places i've ever been. People walk at night without being afraid of getting mugged or attacked.
