I live in Dubai for the last year or so and I can tell you that the law here is much more straight forward than other places.
And trust me ... I spent lots of time in other countries (including USA) before I got here.
They only go crazy on a few things but they let you know very clearly what those are:

NO DRUGS
NO PORN
oh yeah ... and DONT DRINK AND DRIVE

You have to respect that ... you come to their country ... you should respect their laws.

And by the way ... I am not sure he is going to jail for the porn ... more likely its for the drugs.

Just walk into any hotel bar or night club in Dubai ...
OR if you want to find them all in one place go to "Cyclone Club" which is prostitutes only. Its a pick up place.

There is so much prostitution in Dubai that you simply can't believe.

And the good thing is that the ladies you see in hotels and bars etc don't look like streetwalkers or street trash. We are talking about hot chicks (most of them) :)

Although they say its "illegal" its tolerated because they know that its a must if they want visitors to keep coming back. They have to appear firmly against it ... this is an Islamic country after all.

Its one of the safest places i've ever been. People walk at night without being afraid of getting mugged or attacked.
I am not afraid to leave the door to my house unlocked.

Plus the standard of living here is much higher than most other places.
If you have some money you can live like a king. You don't need to be fucking rich to do that here.
