I use it, but latest version sometimes uses about 50MB of ram while idle on my cpu and that makes it one of the biggest memory users. I have 2GB of ram so that's not a problem but it may be a problem for someone who has only 512mb of ram, so Skype alone will "eat" 10% of his memory.
