I'm really not a Gamer...

Mainly because I'm so Fucking sick of 1st person shooter (and shooting games in general). I mean, just how many things can you shoot????

So, finally I see a commercial for This Game. It looks so kickass, I just have to play it. It's for PS3 Exclusively so that kinda sucks... but, whatever.

It's a crude trailer I made from their HD-720 downloads (music is a little muffled when it goes to slow motion)

Plus - the playstation 3 has a built in blueray.

I have 2 ps3's but only use them for blu rays. I have a 360 for halo3 which is the only game I play. That trailer looked simply amazing but I only have enough free time for one killer game right now. I work too much to do anything else lol.

the game does temp me, but if you're looking for unqiue gameplan that gets away from the first person shooter crap, try a wii.

i started losing my interest in gaming after the 6 millionth fps i played too. but the wii has got me trapped right now...

Halo 3 is possibly one of the worst games I have ever played, not sure what all the hype was about it.

Call of Duty 4 is the best game out right now.

PS3 is kick ass ... i play a few rounds of Resistance: Fall of Man every day ... it's amazing to play online. Also PES 2008 is fucking great.

I have about 10 games but i only play the two mentioned above.

It's a good game, but very short.

Sometimes that's not bad though, as right now I'm playing Assassin's Creed and finding it too long. I guess the problem is that it is very repetitive.

there is only one form of gaming for me now.

PVP and i love it.

Player killing is the only gaming I find enjoyable.

playing against dumb AI mobs is not even gaming.

i swear just reading the wikipedia about Player VS Player m and Player Killing makes me want to log on to a game and kill someone.

If you have not experienced real time PVP where you literally ambush and kill opponents you have not experienced gaming. "Beating games" is the past - come try and beat me. Come try to kill me.

Player Killing is the only reason I game.

PVP was introduced as a way for players to control the actions of good vs bad - whereas if a server is overrun with "bad" guys - it is up to the "good" guys to form a group and come try and kill us.

its a good form of relief, any PVPers here?

Yes you can fight wherever you want. There are no safe zones.

Aren’t you worried that out of control random player killers will ruin the game?

No. Being a random player killer of evil alignment is definitely possible, but also an extremely hard career. You will have enemies everywhere, and will have a hard time finding a safe city to trade in. You have the freedom to play such a character, but there’s also accountability for the choices you make.

people think its "easy" to be a player killer, when in actuality, it is the HARDEST type of gaming available to gamers. They make it difficult to be one, but the reward of killing other players is so great.

Agreed. I loved this game, I could'a sexed it up!
The replay value kinda sucks though. Having weapons and rank downgraded when you return to a previous memory.... so there isn't a lot of incentive to going back to find flags and templars. So I'm glad I just rented it. I may pick it up when it's cheaper for the little bit of replaying I may do.

But the game play itself and story are amazing. It's one of those games that doesn't just do stuff better, it's truly revolutionary.

i like games to be realistic - halo 3 never appealed to me, looks like WOW the gay no-life game with dragons, that game with the trailer looks also like that, and the screenshot in here of this 'darkfall' game too.

Only a little bit of made up things, but put to use realistically, is acceptable in very good games like Gears of War. That game is very good, but also with realisitc elements like real guns with bullets, and the delicious chainsaw move... i love blood...

And ya, I played Halo once at my neices... the whole time I was like... So when's this game gonna Start??? Halo < WAY over rated in my opinion.

I really liked doom 3 online. Very short... few rounds a day was a great break from work.

However, I did appreciate the "Angry Mob" in EA Games "Generals".... I would just roam around with as many angry mobs as my machine could take at the time.

I've always been a fan of that line of strategy games.

The only problem I have with games like this, is lag. Nothing worse than having a connection or server issue be the result of you losing everything.

Either way, I'll have to check that game out. I'm currently Beta testing Warhammer Online, and I'm loving the PvP in that game so far.

Nice, Im an old school Ultima Online player, so I play for PVP and nothing else.

I havent found satisfaction in "beating" games in a very long time, I need Player VS Player killing - there is nothing like it. Once you begin to enjoy the adrenaline of fighting real time players, that rush never goes away.

As mentioned earlier, PVP was introduced in Ultima Online as a way for players to "police" the activity of the servers. if a bad guy was running around killing players - then the good guys need to get together and come kill me. Its great.

In Ultima Online, a rift formed between those who enjoyed PKing, those who enjoyed hunting the PKs and those who simply did not want to fight at all. The Renaissance expansion later added a Trammel facet where PvP was not allowed, giving some out to the UO crowd that did not wish to engage in PvP at all.

In fact, this rift is what is destroying UO right now. It should have never went to consentual PVP.

Other early MMORPGs, including Meridian 59 (1996), Ultima Online (1997), and Tibia (1998) also had PvP combat as a feature. In Ultima Online, the goal was to allow players to police themselves in a "frontier justice" way.

I have to agree with you on that, Call Of Duty 4 is amazing in both single and multiplayer.

I wouldn't say Halo 3 is bad, I enjoy playing it, but comparing it to COD4, it gets blown away.
