I don't get enough quality sleep, I'm always tired. I'm a very light sleeper, unless I'm super tired the slightest thing wakes me. I get disturbed every morning at 7am when my daughter wakes up.

When my wife and 2 kids went out of town, i slept at around 9 in the evening and wake up at around 2 in the afternoon. total of 17 hours!(room is pitch black)

But not tonight... I just shot content and i awake for the past 30 hours

I need ~9.5 hours of sleep a day. When I hit the gym even ~1 hour more.

But sleep is essential, and the amount you need is fixed in your genes. Sleeping much has nothing to do with laziness IMHO.

Should i try to stay up now or go to sleep? If I go to sleep it will fuck up my schedule and I don't want that at all, but everytime I try to stay up I get so tired and I never make it, I always fall asleep. What should I do?

I like the honesty in this thread. Personally I sleep when I feel like it; anytime of day. 3 hours after a big lunch, 14 hours after a bindge, cat naps, and sometimes I don't remember what day it is. It's all one long effort. I can't remember doing 9 to 5.

I used to sleep about four to six hours a day and then maybe eight to ten on Saturday as a recovery day. Did this from about age twelve until last year. Then I started to get sick and that is when I spent four months in the hospital which if any of you have ever spent any real time in one is not a place where you can get any sleep. Between the tests, the pain, the blood draws, the doctors rounds at 6-7am every morning, random x-rays, and then of course your roommate going through the same damn thing or worse cause they scream a lot in pain. I got next to no sleep during those four months, literally to the point of being delusional with seeing crap and hearing phantom noises.

I thought it would end when I left the hospital but things only really got a little worse. I still have chronic pain so I rarely get a good nights sleep. I often am kept awake until the wee hours in deep pain. Then when I do finally pass out and yes I mean literally pass out, I will only be awoke again a few hours latter with side ripping spasm pain.

Lately on top of that though I been almost passing out while sitting in my chair (imagine a 70 year old man watching football) and like today I fell asleep last night around 10pm, I did not even begin to wake up until 9pm today.

On top of all this my damn health as recently been given a surprise turn for the not so good. I swear at times if there was karma or something I really must of like killed a few thousand children and nuns for fun.

For those of you who can sleep, do it. I so envy you all.

weekends i tend to sleep until i wake up without an alarm.

depends on what I have going on.

i generally start my day at 10-11am and I'm usually asleep between 3-5am.
