You can be sued for using pics/vids by not only the models but also by the photographer/videographer.

Remember in each pic/vid there's a copyright issue and only the actual person holding the camera has the rights to those pics/vids. Unless by way of a signed contract they were transferred to another party. Work for Hire agreements are essential to creating and licensing content.

This also applies to the editor.

Model means person in the photo. You must have permission of the models and image creator or you are looking for trouble.

I'll correct you. This has nothing to do with 2257. It's illegal to STEAL. That's what's at issue here. If you didn't get permission form the copyright holder and/or model, you're stealing and this is illegal in almost every country.

Copyright is assumed upon creation.

So unless its implicitly stated that the content is allowed to be redisdplayed for free , then its not.
