Why would any government want to discourage the growth of population? Frankly I think that Tax dollars going towards helping families that have had kids is better spent than sending money to "Families" that do not or umm can not have kids. I major contribution is made to the government by having children, and children are a true investment for the government.

Gays want all the benefits of a boy/girl relationship but lack the ability to actually have kids. In otherwards being gay is of no benefit to the whole of the population under a government and thus should not recieve government benefits and options many families that have kids get.

Perhaps some reform in marriage should be in order for the gay community but as far as recieving government assisted programs ought to be a no go.

You are not going to have children, therefore a gay couple needs none of the assistance the government applies to couples that have had children.

That goes right down to a tax free home when a partner dies for example. Many Married couples that have had children truly need those benefits far more than a gay couple that does not have the ability to produce children.

Thus I can see why you hate on "Breeders" so much. Fact is...

You are not a benefit to a growing society that is capable of having children why gays would expect the government to sanction this I got no idea.

Tell ya what, I think the government should pay people NOT to have kids. There are already far too many humans around these days anyway. Its causing a strain on our planet.

BoyAlley,
You are not alone. While your issue is being Gay in America, there are many others who have other issues and each is relevant to them. We are called EXPATRIATES and have proudly moved out of the land so many call the land of the free.

While I do keep a place in the USA to stay at when I visit family or take care of some US business, I do not consider myself an American. I am a human. And as a human I am entitled to make any life for myself that I see fit. If that means moving to another location that allows such a life, so be it. There are 100s of 1000s of us who have left and never looked back. In your case you only need to look as far as Canada and you can live married with your partner and fulfill your dreams together.

It's not a perfect world and the USA is far from a perfect country but you DO have options. To not take action to find a work around for your dream is only cheating you. Nobody else cares. Find a solution and move forward. Chances are you will never look back. I have yet to meet an expat with regrets about leaving the USA.

Having said that, I will also add that I don't have a problem with gays getting married HOWEVER there is still many years of fighting before that is going to happen across the board. After blacks, women and illegal immigrants, gays may get their chance to be equal, but it's still quite a ways away.

I say, stop complaining about gay rights and jump ship to a place that doesn't have a problem with it.
