i didnt know there were so many people that didnt understand what zango was doing. especially professionals like raw alex. Mr Knowitall. haha
the one idiot that seems to think he knows everything about everything doesnt get how zango works. crazy |
Good luck dude! I remember seeing some one (I think it was will76) paste a similar post of yours here, from another board, about a month or so ago. I can't believe that it's even remotely difficult to find other program owners to jump on board with this.

If you said "out of all of our visitors, about 4,000 per day have Zango installed. While our conversions rates are typically 1 in 500, none of the zango customers who make it to the join page ever join our sites. I have a feeling that Zango may be popping another sites join page on top of our join page, which steals out joins. I want to find a lawyer so I can get them to stop doing this" - everyone would have understood you. Don't try to put you shortcomings onto the rest of us. Think before you write. |
We're already on suing them for months now, the damn US courts are soooooooooo backed up though we are awaiting a court date still.
Our case is pretty simple, we have trademark on domains of ours they use in their bidding system which we have asked be removed multiple times before. They also, in a matter of speaking, told us 'fuck off you can't do anything to us as you guys are in costa rica'. Hrm guess they never heard of companies with trademarks and incorporations in multiple countries :upsidedow |

Blackmail / extortion anyone ? I'd love to have some old friends in Montreal pay their office there a visit, but they only have sales reps out of there so wouldn't serve any purpose :disgust |
Maybe some of the defendants on this page can lend a hand. Some interesting reading in some of those cases

Hmm. Let's see. They can pop up on any site at any time on any page. So, example, your 4k traffic could have been from popups on the front of cams with YOUR join page appearing. You didn't specify, so it is hard to tell what the fuck you are talking about. Seriously dude, you attract more flies with honey than shit. You need to stop with the shit and grow up. |

Keep us posted on this!

Pimpdogg, why did it take you a full year to finally decide to take action regarding Zango's negative impact on your business? Over a year ago when Will76 brought this issue to the forefront of the adult industry, all you did was belittle him with disparaging comments and pop off in all his threads. If you'd have actually listened to him over a year ago, who knows how much money you would have saved over the last year had you acted quickly.

What finally made Trey get involved with this? I have no idea, but you are right it has been happening to him for years. |

Having an " exclusion list" will be Zango's downfall. Having a list and allowing some people to not be targeted but telling others to fuck off, implies what you are doing is wrong. If it wasn't you wouldn't need a list, or you would honor everyone's request. Can't have it both ways. |

i did not have a pc with zango on it, and noone cared to inform us that they were doing this to my company. how else would i know? my sys admin finally put it on his pc and witnessed it for the 1st time yesterday himself and we now have video proof and logs etc. plenty to fuck zango with.
|
and my lawyer did send zango a letter weeks ago and we are still getting hit by zango.
what i am trying to figure out, is how long they have targeted my company for. i need to asess damages and kind of ahrd to uless i know how long they have been hitting my program for. im gog to guess its been about 2 years? well lets see. 1;500 ( avg conversion) 4k hits per day avg by zango 1;500 and 4k hits is 8 sales per day. 8 x 365 = 2,920 2920 x 2 years = 5,840 5840 sales x 119 ( avg member worth) = $694,960 now dont go asking me about a member being worth 119 each. im not gonna answer that. this is for this case and i can justify the worth so move on. these bitches owe me over $700k |
atleast that is what i am going to ask for :)

i've spoken to 3 different attornies and was told since I am the affiliate that there isn't much I can do. I was told I don't have a strong case but the sponsor does. If anything thing they said I have a better case against the sponsor. |

and i find it very hard to beleive you are losing 50% of sales, when less than 3% of our logs show anything zango related |
Not blaming sponsors for anything - I was just saying that it would be a pretty easy fix for the sponsor to take care of - as far as the percentages - you have to understand that the word zango isnt the only referring url that does this - there is also spamblockerutility, funwebproducts and hundreds more - they are all the same type of thing and most are run by zango - so just looking for zango isnt the only problem you need to look at to get your percentages.
The other thing I was talking about - popping an ad over your join page is just a small percentage of the problem - the major part for us affiliates is that the zango install will also replace our ref ids with theirs from the get-go - which is why Ive suggested before that some programs may want to take their top 10 affiliates major referring urls (ya know if Pierre sends a sale from one of his sites what urls to look for) and see how many of those ref urls have his ID replaced - I know of one company that has already done this and was able to get rid of some of the scamming WM IDs - but of course this part of it doesnt lose you any money - just your honest affiliates |
