Actually I've been around the Middle East a bit myself. I've been to Pakistan, Lebanon, Saudi, the UAE (although I didn't include them on the list of countries I dislike?) but not Afghanistan. Along the way I've met more than enough good Sunni 'religious' Muslims from the said countries (the non-terrorist type obviously) to know it most definitely is not a culture or religion that fits in with my world view. There are decent aspects to their culture, such as their hospitality generally speaking, but for the most part they live in a very small world which is ruled in almost every sense by their religion. There's a difference between linked and not linked email address (spam bot collectors issue) and there's also a difference between you providing your own contact information and somebody else taking it with intentions to exploit it. That's what GFY rule "do not post people's personal information" means. If you want to provide someone on here with your info, let's say in a thread where someone has a blog for sale and you want them to email you details, it's your own choice. No, the rule applies to posting information that is not publicly available. It has been applied as such time and time again. For example, posting someone's whois information is acceptable, as is posting someone's email that is mentioned in their sig.
