Martian Child

Went with a friend to an advanced screening last night...good movie

I'm a huge John Cusack fan anyway, but this movie has all the right elements of a great family film that even adults can enjoy.

It's funny, sweet, and heartwarming. Cusack does a hell of a job, and so does the kid. Of course Joan is in it, and she's on top of her game as the quirky older sister who's switch is just about ready to be flipped.

Go see this movie this weekend, you'll thank me.

I can't get enough of the Cusack siblings...
they are both really good and often the best thing in a bad movie, the few bad movies they've been in anyways...

My favorite John Cusack flick is still Better Off Dead, followed closely by The Grifters (hmm, I might have to re-think a shift of those two)

As for Joan, I'd have to go with School of Rock

for a movie with both: Sixteen Candles...I know, cheesy and I'll probably have to check my pants for a vagina in them, but I've seen that flick more times than I can count....

Looks like a modern adaption of "Stranger in a Strange Land"...

I'll have to check it.
