Anyone else confused about the Genarlow Wilson case?
Can't figure out how someone can be released years after he was convicted of any crime simply because NOW, not at the time of his conviction, the crime he committed is no longer a crime as such. So are we now going to bring back to life all criminals we put to death through the death penalty in states where they no longer have the death penalty? I don't get it, must be just me. I'm not saying 10 years for what he did was the right sentence. I just don't get it that he was set free based on what they put out there for a reason. I always thought that if your do the crime, you do the time.

I am NOT saying he should have gotten 10 years, at the time this occured and he went to trial, however, the law was that is was a federal offense, and like it or not, the girl was only 15 which means she was a minor, it's not as if she was 17 years and 364 days old. My issue is with the fact that the media and all kinds of groups are so surprised that he got convicted. He should have kept his zipper up in my opinion.
