Full moon cycles and wackos

Although I realize modern science has never proven a direct cause-and-effect between the full moon cycle and an increase in wacky human behavior, but there are many times I really question their conclusions.

Any one else think there's definitely some connection between a full moon and craziness?

No and I follow the science of it as well.

People just recall it better due to rarity of the full moon. Though people will hop in here and post stats (ussually wrong or disproven) about ER's or 911 calls etc. Hell even cops and paramedics fall for that shit, despite stats showing otherwise.

Fuck even many people think the moon is closer (looks bigger) when full, though if you tilt your head or look at it upside down it will shrink back up again.

My mom is a nurse and she used to work at a psychiatric hospital and she claims it's true. She said anytime they had a full moon the patients were much more trouble.

It looks like they said pretty much what I did. No I didn't come up with the idea myself but the "tide" idea has been around for awhile ... makes sense considering we are part of the earth .... and the universe if you really want to get deep.

Yes though the actual amount of total gravitational pull on a human is so finitely small that it makes no real statistical difference. As I said about the same as if someone held a pebble about a foot over your head.

We are 80 percent water, though please keep in mind we are also not the size of a large lake let alone an ocean. Both of which are also effected by the turning of the Earth as well as the moon, though the moon is moving away and has been since the planets collided in the first place.

I really can't think of any. Sometimes though on a full moon I feel more aggravated then usual. I do remember once though downtown full moon some guy got "knocked the fuck out" in the street so hard we heard his skull crack on the pavement when he went down. It's like that every weekend though sometimes. I can't say your wrong though. I'm not a scientist.

With all due respect ASM, I don't think stats always reveal an accurate assessment of the phenom. I tend to give more weight to anecdotal stories from those who closely work closely with people on the street at all hours of the day and night.

I have a lot of cop buddies I talk to on a daily basis, many of whom I consider highly intelligent and not prone to exaggeration or embellishment. And some of the stories I hear about their experiences during full moon cycles always makes me pause to think.

I often work a nightshift myself and see a correlation between the lunar cycle and the mentality/attitudes of people I encounter during the course of the evening.

I really don't get you. They tried everything to show a relation between weird stuff happening and a full moon and failed. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever this full moon thing actually does something to humans. They have studied if there are more accidents happening, more people going to the ER, more police needed etc etc. Everything they tried and resulted in nothing!

Look at the picture and you will see that the bar in the background is called the " Full Moon " and the guys on the motobikes are " cycling " past the " Full Moon ". Now look at the red truck. Notice that it has TWO front ends. What looks like the front is really the rear. See the red tail lights where the head lights should be. It is actually driving from right to left. I'm not saying its a 100% empirical conclusion - only that my experiences suggest (to me) there's a high probability of a correlation. I don't keep stats to prove or disprove and I don't believe in stats that may or may not be skewed or objectively obtained either way.
