I'd like to know about the experiences people have had with outsourcing jobs like gallery submission, SEO, blog writing, etc.

I know there's a lot of full time outsourcing services available for $500-$1000+/month/dedicated employee

Is this a good strategy? What kind of results have you seen in the past? Is the money better spent elsewhere?

If you have some recommendations please feel free to post them here

Yes, but I set it up such that the outsourcer didn't know the details of what the work would be used for. It's hard to explain but i set it up such that the work they did wouldn't be clear so that they could replicate it.

I highly recommend against it. Develop your own techniques for traffic and hire a minimum wager to help you out and do basic training, just my 2 cents

other than content writing, most of that stuff should be 99-100% automated

Gallery submission is one thing SEO is another, and you wont find good ongoing SEO work for less than 5 to 10k a month.

I have a guy that can do gallery submissions. But like he said to me. Go to submit more than 10 to see an ROI.
