Doesn't hurt to match your meta keywords to your body text though. Some of the bigger SE's love it.

Some love the link popularity.

Some love the continuous re-spidering.

Some just love the cock. It's all fucking voodoo.

But having your pages properly balanced for keyword searches definitely helps. At least from my experience, of which I have some. I'm sure others have more.
