Who has a 24? monitor?

I'm looking at the Dell model, it's about $650. The Gateway model is about $450. Anybody have personal input on which is better?

And if RawAlex reads this... right now I would have loved to use the search tool.

If you go to gotapex.com and find the Dell 24s on sale...Then call them up and ask them if they can beat that price over the web. I ordered two of them and they came down from the sale price from that website.

I have a 24" Wisescreen Samsung that I absolutely love. I use it on an angle to make it as though its 2 monitors stacked on each other.

I was looking at the Samsung and I read a lot of bad reviews. A lot of talk of color issues. You haven't had any problems?

I have a 24 inch widescreen Acer that I don't know what I would do without. I used Dell monitors before, though, and I never had any problems with them. Don't have any experience with the Gateway, however.

Okay, so if I buy the Dell monitor separately it's $550. If I buy it included with the computer, it's $650. Those sneaky bastards.

22 inch wide screen here... non Dell... what is it?

ViewSonic

300 Costco

Great so far.. has much better ad brighter colors than my 19 inch Dell.

I use them together. I need another 19 for me left side so I can have panoramic wrap around.

or just another 22 and ditch the 19... What is white on this 22 is dingy gray on my 19...

24 can only be better ;)

seen this 30 inch... 33 maybe... while I was shopping where i got this viewsonic... that fucker was impressive....

Last weekend I went out to buy the Samsung 24". I ended up getting a 28" HannsG. It has 3ms response time, HDMI, 1080P, etc. It was built for gaming so I figured it would be good for video editing and multimedia applications. It's an amazing monitor. BestBuy sent me a coupon and I ended up paying under $600 for it, with tax.

I'd think twice about going with dell ... I'm not that satisfied with my 19"
When I compare the screen to my vaio laptop's screen, the laptop screen is way better.

Question for you Sly...

If you are into playing video games and you are going for a monitor that is 20+ inches in size running at full resolution you will need SLI or CrossFire with two high end video cards, as to enjoy some of the native resolutions... I have a SAMSUNG SyncMaster 206BW @ 2ms refresh (LCD Wide Screen)... and it's native resolution is 1680x1050 and I can play UT2004 at it's full native resolution at approx 100+ fps but there are games that need a secondary video card as to use the native resolution...

My question is: What are you going to use your monitor for Sly... is it going to be for office usage or are you a gamer?

Later,

.

I debated whether to buy the 30 incher about a yr ago but couldn't justify the cost . At the time they were $2495.

Bought the 24 incher instead for $999 and have been extremely pleased with it.
IMHO, any self respecting Mac user should have one.

Nothing else even comes close.

I bought a Benq 24" some time ago for $1000 and i'm so happy with it. 30" looks too big for me to watch at 3 feet from it, even in the 24" one i need to turn my head from side to side to see it all.
