![]() Ok If anyone at ZANGO can answer this for me I would greatly appreciate it.
I choose this "point of view" since Revshare Hosting is here for the Webmaster I'm sure the programs here have their own issues that will shortly be addressed. ok let's say from a "Webmasters" point of view. I bust my ass to create and submit galleries. Get them listed. A surfer goes to sign up through my ref code(gallery what ever). Then ZANGO jumps in at the last minute to take credit for my hard work , and cut me out of the deal? Am I correct in the way that ZANGO operates? If not please explain it in layman's terms, because from my understanding (and tell me if I'm wrong) this seems to be the operating model for the the company you represent. |

surfer wants to download a game, video, or porn. Stupid surfer downloads software to their computer to access the game, video or whatever. Stupid surfer doesnt read fine print, nor would 95% of the people understand that they are agreeing to have pops up attack them constantly while they surf the net. you spent money and time and hard work to advertise your site. You attract the surfer, the surfer wants to signup and bam, zango displays another page to the surfer on top of your site. You lose time and money and surfer doesnt notice that he is now signing up to something else and that it wasn't to your site. Zango claims they help give the surfer options when he is surfing by displaying other sites. Zango must think they are a fucking search engine, which they are not. The surfer didnt click on the join link on my site because he wanted "alternatives" (aka pop ups), he clicked the join link on my site because he wanted to join. Zango tries to make their shit sound all nice and its a benefit to the surfer (yeah everyone loves endless popups). Everyone knows what they do is steal traffic. If their product was so good they wouldn't hijack traffic, they would just give free shit and display ads next to their free shit. For example, let people pay your games and put banners next to the games. When the person isn't using zango's shit zango shouldn't have the right to *own* that person 24/7. Generate your own fucking traffic, and advertise next to yoru own products you fuckers. Don't leach off of everyone else's hard work.

Yes I do know the drill, and that's my point. I want to get a straight answer from Zango themselves if they have balls to answer it.

The way Zango is installed is (IMHO) pretty darn misleading. They offer surfers to play a video or a game, typically which would last a couple of minutes. In order to do that, they have to make a little download to activate the game. That download installs the toolbar for as long as the user leaves it on the machine and doesn't remove it.
Zango's basic business model is to trade trinkets for major real estate. It is a classic unfair trade. Users get to play a low end flash game or watch a short video, and for that they have to give up their privacy and allow Zango to monitor their every move. Zango's method for turning this into cash is pretty similar. See what Quick Buck's "rouge affiliate" was up to, popping join pages over other people's join pages. It is a direct attempt to profit from misleading surfers. The price paid for that popup is probably pretty high, considering it was probably pretty profitable. |
