Epassporte Security = Your password !..Thats it!

Beware of epassporte....all somone needs to steal your money and your identity is to hack your password..

Epass does not have any security measures in place once somone gains access to there system.they will be allowed to transfer your funds into other epassporte accounts.they will be allowed to apply for new visa cards without anyone being notified.

Epass wont cover your losses even when its obvious fruad took place...they will blame it on you.

Epash phishing emails are being sent and still epassoprte has not changed there securtiy protocol concerning making changes to BUISSNEESS Accounts by asking for some sort of verification besides the username/password.

Does all this conspiracy stuff have to do with the launch of another payment system?

It wouldn't be too involved for them to add another layer or two of security, but I don't really think they give a shit.

Isn't most security based on a single password?

Everyone knows Epassporte is a basically anonymous money transferring system, of course once your password is compromised your money is gone. This shouldn't be news to anyone.

Actually FredIsMe, although I have NEVER had such issues with Epass (had some horrible Customer Support issues but Michael is enough to calm the devil at the peak of his fury).

I do think that they seriously need some WhiteHat hackers to teach them a thing or two about security and protecting against fraud. They hold a lot of money in trust for thousands of people - they cannot be blaming fraud on an affiliate that is not running to the ATM to bring his account to zero in order to prevent fraud from happening - that's my take on it.

If that's the only way to prevent fraud - then I guess that's what we'll have to do - once the sponsor pays, we wait at the ATM and withdraw immediately.

The thing that worries me the most is that they also have an abundance of TRUE creditcard info & bank account info. How secure is that info??

If the next company coming out as a competitor has even remotely a slight touch more security, I think we'll see an instant shift over. Time will tell.

Instant, no. But I'm pretty sure that if Chio's system is as good as it promises to be, people will gradually abandon epassporte altogether.

Let's not forget that one of the few reasons why epassporte has any clients in this industry to begin with is because PayPal doesn't allow adult transactions. I didn't even have an epassporte account before PayPal stopped doing adult, there was no need. So all it will take for epassporte to start losing its adult webmaster customer base is a competitor with half-a-brain. Human brain, not monkey.

I feel really bad for you cuz let me tell you, I'd be a bitch out of hell in your same situation.

As for security - my beef is this, rather than confirming transactions within the system (transferring to another account holder) why not send an email to the OFFICIAL email outside the system?
Obviously - if YOU are transferring, it shouldn't be a problem to go confirm that email.
The only way to change that OFFICIAL email, is by sending in your passport or some legal document that obviously matches the account holder. If you are out of town or whatever then Epassporte needs to do their due diligence and verify the information, like calling the home phone of the client - verify if he's really there - contact the cell phone - email the Original OFFICIAL email anyway - send an ICQ to the number they have on file.

Gross negligence and if they were a US-based bank they'd probably lose their banking license over it.
